We’d like to thank all of you for your support this year and give you a little info of the year. We had a great year once lockdown was lifted, even though the bulk of the mackerel stayed away until the very end of the season. Thanks to Kevin Wyatt we had the chance to have two boats running. This was difficult to keep track of the bookings and answering the phone became almost impossible. Looking after customers on the boats while trying to answer the phone just wasn’t working. I decided to get a second phone and a friend Jude said she’d answer the phone for us, this gave us time to work. I know there were a few issues but I hope nobody was to put out and will return with us next year.

Late May we were granted one of the 15 UK licenses to catch tag and live release bluefin tuna under CEFAS CHART programme. This gave us the great opportunity to target them. So many bluefin around when they turned up, allowing us to break our boat record of 25 in a season spectacularly with 121. The biggest we tagged and measured calculated a weight of 587lbs. We hope to find out about 2022 tuna programme in the not to distant future. Once we have full details I will let you all know. September and October are fully booked but we do have dates in August and November. We are currently working to get the online booking sorted for 2022 and should have this done early in the New Year. Unfortunately with the rising prices of both fuel and wages we are going to have to increase our prices but I will keep them fair and competitive. Full details of these rises once we’ve worked out the details. Our hope is to carry on with a second boat in 2022 but at this time we’re not sure on the vessel so stay tuned. Lastly we’d like to wish all of our customers old and new a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
