My love for fishing

For the last 40 years, I have been drawn to deep sea fishing from the Cornish coast, it has become a beloved hobby and passion. There are several reasons why I’ve loved to fish off the Cornish coast for so many years, and they all come together to create an experience that is unmatched in its beauty, excitement, and tranquillity.

One of the reasons why I’ve loved to fish off the Cornish coast is the incredible natural beauty that surrounds me. The stunning coastline, rugged cliffs, and crystal-clear waters combine to create a breath taking landscape that never fails to amaze me. As I drop my line and wait for a bite, I can take in the panoramic views of the coast and feel a sense of awe and wonder at the majesty of nature.

Another reason why I’ve loved to fish off the Cornish coast is the thrill of the catch. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of reeling in a big fish, and the Cornish coast is home to an impressive array of fish species, from bass to mackerel to bluefin tuna. Each species brings with it a unique challenge, and I’ve spent countless hours trying to perfect my technique and learning the habits and behaviours of the fish I’m targeting.

But it’s not just about the catch. Fishing off the Cornish coast has also given me a deeper appreciation for the sea and its inhabitants. It’s a way to connect with the natural world and gain a better understanding of the delicate balance of marine ecosystems. I’ve learned about the importance of sustainable fishing practices and respecting the environment to ensure that these resources are preserved for future generations.

Charterfishing from the Cornish coast has also become a way for me to connect with others who share my passion. after becoming the owner of the Aquila, I’ve made countless friends and formed deep connections with people who understand the joy and satisfaction that comes with a successful day on the water. We share stories, tips, and techniques, and the camaraderie and friendship we’ve built has only deepened my love for fishing off the Cornish coast.

I can’t imagine ever tiring of this beloved hobby, and I look forward to many more years of fishing off the Cornish coast.
